Parks Initiative Priorities
A balanced vision for the future of our local parks, focused on accountability, safety, and community access.
Transparent Financial Resposibility
With more than half of the Conejo Recreation and Park District budget relying on tax dollars, I believe that it is important for each dollar to be spent wisely. It is our responsibility to make sure that we are transparent and open about the spending being done for the members of our community. Doing so with the faith of the community will make sure that we have long term stability that provides such important services to the public and that many use daily.
Public Safety & Wildfire Defense
Ensuring the protection of our public spaces and residents is paramount. I
believe that being prepared for the next fire is crucial, which is why I will
advocate for fire prevention strategies, comprehensive crises responses, and
seamless collaboration with our local and regional first responder agencies.
Working for Public Works with the County of Ventura, I have seen up close the
commitment and dedication of our first responders, working with them to keep
our facilities operating to ensure that they have every resource they need in order
to protect our communities.
Accessibility & Inclusion
Local Parks must be inviting for all members of the community, which is why I
want to look into implementing some ADA compliant play equipment at our play areas. I believe individuals of every age and physical capacity should be able to fully enjoy our beautiful outdoor facilities. I want to bring ideas that are made possible with UnlimitedPlay to make sure that all members of our community are able to enjoy and participate in our parks.
